The lead up to Christmas has begun, and as we enter the final week before the big day we’re looking forward to organising all your meat, cheese and vegetable orders ready for collection over the next few days.
If you have ordered your Christmas meat from us in the past, you will know that this time year means the shop is incredibly busy. When coming to collect your order, please bear in mind that there may be a little wait for your Christmas goodies. Whilst we strive to ensure everything is ready for the day, if you require specific things done to your turkey such as having the legs removed, a rolled turkey breast or turkey crown, these things are done by our butchers when you arrive to collect, not beforehand. Fairly often the queue extends out the door, so please be patient and bear with us – we want you to have the best quality meat for your day, which is why butchers is always best!
We have the whole family in to help over the next week, in-laws and nephews included, so there are plenty of us around to give you hand. If you have forgotten to place your order, please contact us at the shop by calling 01793 823566 to see what we have available. We don’t order a lot of extra turkeys and meat for Christmas as we are a small, family-run business and don’t like to waste any food should it not sell.
If you are collecting your Christmas order on Monday 23rd December, we have got the excellent All Events Hog Roast popping along from 10am-2pm to serve a delicious hog roast feast whilst you wait. It is our busiest day for collections this year, so we hope a warm pork roll will keep you going.
