Thomas Howard Burroughs first opened T.H.Burroughs Family Butchers in Swindon in 1942. Today, the award-winning T.H.Burroughs Family Butchers, Delicatessen and Farmshop is run by his grandson Graham Burroughs.
We have developed an excellent reputation for the best quality locally-produced meats and pride ourselves on our knowledge and traditional butchers’ practices. We offer a wide and varied selection of local meat and seasonal game. Our handmade, gluten-free, free-range pork sausages have won numerous awards over the years and we are continually trying new and exciting styles and flavours, including our take on the traditional South African sausage, “Boerewors”.
We care about the produce we sell; we believe in animal husbandry, sustainability and supporting local producers. Our meat is sourced as locally as possible and we get to know the farmers. We make sure that animals are given the freedom to roam and are looked after the highest possible standards. We believe that better the animal is treated the better the meat they can provide.
As well as high quality meat, we also stock delicious cheeses, pies, homemade sausage rolls and quiche, as well as a wide range of farmshop favourites.
We are a member of Eblex and have a 5-star Food Hygiene Rating, only acquiring the best meat products for our customers.
